Why is this cactus endangered?

It is endangered because there beautiful flowers are a desire for some collectors that are involved in garden and/or plant trading events. Although these cactus are only found in Big Bend National park, it is getting taken away by collector. This plant would be around if people just took pictures rather then the actual plant.
